Walking Tours > What is Provided

Park Trek Provides

  • Luxury transportation from the start to the end of the trip.
  • A tour guide and an assistant.  Assistants join us on trips where the group size is greater than 8 or where circumstances dictate.
  • Most dinners, lunches and breakfasts.  Except where indicated by Own Expense, which means that for a specific meal you are liable for the cost of your own meal.
  • A 30 litre day pack.
  • A small ground mat for sitting during the days outing.
  • A 1.5 litre bottle of water.
  • A comprehensive first-aid kit carried by the guides.
  • Fully functioning communications equipment.
  • An adundance of trail mix (snack food while out on the track).
  • On camping trips we establish a fully functioning kitchen complete with cutlery, crockery and professional cooking and catering utensils and equipment.
  • A variety of teas, coffees and drinking chocolate.
  • Food and plenty of it.  Nearly all of the fresh food is market sourced organic food, which is freely available throughout the trip.
  • A variety of dinners.  One night we may serve a chicken stir-fry, the next night it maybe a vegetarian Korma and the following night it may be a meal featuring fish.  Guests that are coeliac, vegetarian or have specific needs are also catered for.
  • Plenty of opportunities for you to appreciate and absorb your natural surrounds.
  • A congenial and easy-going atmosphere, which encourages your complete participation but also, accommodates those who wish to participate to a greater or lesser extent in the scheduled programme.
  • Interpretive information on your natural surrounds.
  • Plenty of laughs, assistance throughout the trip to ensure your safe passage and help wherever required.
