Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), Kings Canyon and the MacDonnell
Ranges are amongst Australia’s most iconic landmarks. They also have a host of
great walks that allow the curious trekker to experience a timeless and ancient
landscape and feel the spirit of the lands traditional owners. It all makes for
an ideal 9-day explore of this acclaimed area. A mixture of well-chosen
accommodation and camping, plenty of locally available fresh organic produce and
luxury mini coach transport make it easy to be a guest on one of our most
popular trips.

A trip to Australia’s Top End is one of the truly unique travelling
experiences and locations in one of Australia’s most unique environments. July
is arguably the best month for a walking holiday in the Top End as the
temperatures are cooler and the recent rains that cease after April still have
the watercourses flowing and the vegetation thriving. This trip is fully
accommodated. We will also be using a luxury mini-coach for transport and all
Park Trek meals will feature lots of local organic produce.

Just behind some of Queensland’s most popular coastal towns lies a chain of stunning mountains interlaced with waterfalls, crystal steams brimming with life and small artistic communities. Here we will walk the best sections of the recently opened Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk as well as exploring the Glass House Mountains and it’s surrounds. Our journey through this lush region of southeast Queensland gives us the best mix of rainforest walking and coastal exploring.

Lamington National Park, in the south east of Queensland, is a walkers
paradise. Once we’ve picked you up from the Gold Coast then we have only a very
short distance to cover before we make a start on a full and satisfying five day
walking holiday. The area has such an extensive network of trails. Included in a
days walk are pristine waterfalls, spectacular escarpments that turn molten gold
in the setting sun and dense and rich variety of plant and animal life. And to
make the trip extra special we’ve chosen to stay at the famous Binna Burra Lodge
and O’Reilly’s Guesthouse to create a wonderful walking experience.

A genuine favourite of ours. One day you find yourself having lunch in a
narrow gorge surrounded by 150 metre high cliffs and the next you’re gazing over
the wave like ranges of the Flinders from the peak of St Mary’s. There is
tremendous diversity in scenery and a great variety of experiences awaiting you
on our trip into the Flinders Ranges. It’s also one of our most sociable trips
with the evenings spent sitting around an open fire taking in the atmosphere and
enjoying excellent food after a day of stimulating activity.

October is a lovely time to venture into the Croajingalong National
Park. Our trip begins with two nights at the Point Hicks Lighthouse followed by
two nights at Karbeethong Lodge, overlooking Mallacoota Inlet. Whether it’s the
sight of a sea eagle flying low overhead or trekking a small cove surrounded by
rust coloured granite boulders, or perhaps watching the sun setting from the
balcony of our lodgings, there are memories here to last a lifetime.

The dolerite formations that make Cradle Mountain such an amazing sight are exactly what make the soaring sea cliffs of the Tasman Peninsula such an amazing sight to behold. More dramatic than any other coastline in Australia the Tasman Peninsula hosts an excellent network of walking trails that allow the day walker access to a number of premier locations. Our place of stay affords us great comfort and warmth as well as it’s own piece of coastline.

The Kosciuszko National Park features the highest peaks in Australia and some of our most well known and much loved alpine landscapes. We reside over four nights in a delightful ski lodge in the beautiful surrounds of Thredbo Village and take off each day to explore another part of this memorable place. The trip highlight, for many, will be the days outing to Mt. Kosciuszko and the walk to Blue Lake.
