Alan Fenner

Alan’s love of walking goes back to the days 20 years ago when he was a senior field instructor for Outward Bound Australia.

Later Alan took up walking with a Melbourne based walking club and he helped co-ordinate and run the Bushwalking and Mountaincraft Leadership Course, teaching outdoor education providers, teachers and outdoor students the necessary skills to run a safe and enjoyable walking experience. While he can still read a map, these days he’s more of an expert on how to make a good coffee.

Ten years ago Alan decided to combine both his love of walking and his experience in customer service to bring about the unique formula that is a Park Trek Walking Holiday. Despite the demands of running the office admin Alan loves to stay involved with a number of the trips when he swaps his BAS for a GPS.

Alan is married with two young children.

Bjorn Svensson

A craving for travelling and outdoors experiences led Bjorn to embark on a career as a Scuba diving guide.

After spending many years underwater he decided to swap his fins for walking boots and have since 2008 been leading a number of the trips on the Park Trek walks programme. He is a graduate of  the William Angliss Ecotourism Diploma course. Bjorns great culinary contribution to a Park Trek Walking tour is his Swedish Extravaganza (we won’t say anymore, but once tasted has folks crying out for more!!). He is also constantly receiving praise for being mindful to the needs of the guests and making sure that everyone is getting equal enjoyment out of their Park Trek Walking Holiday.

Bjorn’s other great passion is his photography. Nearly all of the photo’s that appear on the Park Trek website, on our Facebook site and in our brochures are as a result of Bjorn’s handiwork. We’re sure you’ll agree that the effort of carrying a huge piece of camera equipment is rewarded when Bjorn posts his trips pics on his Picasa page and guests are invited to download images of such a professional standard.
